Would You Rather Articulation: Sample for IRE An Articulation Carryover Activity for Upper Elementary and Middle School. These cards were designed to be used to promote both serious and silly discussion while working on carryover of /r/. The graphics were designed with older students in mind. Con 4/5(18).

Tongue placement: We have found the retroflexed /r/ to be the most successful; however, some kiddos are more successful with the “bunched” /r/. The differences are tongue tip up or tongue tip down. It is important when screening for the /r/ sound to monitor what they naturally do but also give them the option to try both.

© Say It Right Evaluation Tips Is the student deleting or making the vowel in the /r/ controlled vowel combination too short? Are the students over exaggerating the /r/? Does the student sound/look as though he is trying too hard. E.g. putting an /er/ in front of prevocalic /r/’s as in /er red/. Has the student had prior speech.

/R/ (also known as vocalic R, R-controlled vowels or vowel-R), is a difficult, elusive and frustrating sound to treat. Standardized articulation tests for /r/ only evaluate 18 /r/ words, which is not sufficient for SLPs to get to the root of the problem.

Students have to complete assignment on time to earn their grades. But even if they complete their assignment on time, they may miss the deadline due to various reasons such as last minute changes, being absent etc. In that scenario, students can contact the professor to check whether they can submit the work. Even though [ ].
