Her debut solo album - the first under her real/not-real name was a different deal altogether. 'Queen of Siam' ( - original release). I'm not sure what you'd call it. Noirish jazz meets noise rock. Big band sass and swing colliding with a hail of razor-toothed no-wave guitars, all topped off with Lunch's trademark drawl and slur of a vocal style/5(6).

The album concludes with Blood of Tin in which Lydia recites some ghoulish poetry over appropriately dissonant music. Queen of Siam is for those who love the fringes of rock. The executive producer is Michael Zilkha of the legendary ZE Records whose artists in its heyday included Cristina Monet, the quirky Was (Not Was), psychobilly synth-rock /5(6).

Oct 16,  · referencing Queen Of Siam, LP, Album, Sil, CEL ZE Records has been doing a pretty lackluster job with their french pressings for a while. Lunch's solo debut is not an exception. The vinyl itself is quite noisy, with some weird distortions here and there (mostly concerning the loudest passages). Overall sound is bright, punchy and well presented though!/5().
