Every CD I really like, I don't enjoy at first, and FLAvour of the Weak is no exception (hence the 4 stars; ignore them!). Granted, the sound is at first somewhat difrent than previous FLA, but it's all for good. If there is one last very redeeming thing about this album, it's the CD art. (), and I must say Dave McKean is just incredible.4/5(13).

Front Line Assembly followed-up Hard Wired in with FLAvour of the Weak, a sample-laden record that spawned two singles and remixes from the likes of Tim Schuldt and Eat Static. The album was a departure from FLA's previous sound, incorporating elements of drum 'n' bass, techno, and IDM into a very fresh take on industrial that would prove influential and before its time/5(14).

With Rhys Fulber gone, Bill Leeb turns out a Front Line Assembly album with the assistance of Chris Peterson. Flavour of the Weak finds the duo fusing their trademark sound with various popular dance sounds of the late '90s, especially drum'n'bass and electronica.5/
